Emergency Flight Finder is a simple flight search tool built for people trying to get home during major travel disruptions. When cancellations, conflict, weather, or strikes make standard search results noisy and unreliable, it helps you find viable routes that avoid the regions you don't want to connect through.
Why This Exists
Emergency Flight Finder was built after a real travel disruption.
In early March 2026 our founder Soham was visiting Malaysia when the situation in the Middle East escalated. Suddenly flights were being cancelled, common routes disappeared, and both him and his family members were all struggling to find flights that would take them home.
At the time, most flight search tools were giving too many options, but not enough clarity. Many routes still connected through places people wanted to avoid, or involved airlines and connections that looked risky during a fast-changing geopolitical situation. With many of those routes also being cancelled at short notice, sometimes on the day of departure.
After days of searching, a workable route appeared only because of a stopover and destination quirk that standard search tools failed to surface. That experience led to a simple idea: make it easier to search for routes that fit real-world constraints during these widespread disruptions.
What The Tool Does
Emergency Flight Finder is a simple route search tool for urgent travel situations.
You enter:
- Your origin
- Your destination
- Your date
Then you can filter out regions or countries you don't want to connect through.
The tool then shows the next available matching routes and sends you to a third-party site to complete your booking.
What Makes It Useful In Disruption
In normal conditions, broad search results can be fine.
But during this type of disruption, they can become a problem. When flights are being cancelled, airspace is changing, or certain connections feel too risky, your main goal is no longer to see all flight options. It's to narrow down the options quickly and focus on routes that are more practical for your situation.
Emergency Flight Finder is designed to help with that first step.
What It Does Not Do
Emergency Flight Finder does not:
- Sell tickets
- Take payment
- Require an account or login
- Guarantee that a route will still be available when you click through
- Guarantee that an airline will operate a flight as scheduled
- Replace official travel advice, airline updates, or airport notices
This is a search and filtering tool. You should always verify the final itinerary, entry rules, transit rules, baggage rules, visa requirements, and flight status before you book and before you travel.
Who It Is For
Emergency Flight Finder is for people who need a calmer starting point when travel gets messy.
That might include:
- Travelers trying to get home after cancellations
- People avoiding certain transit regions during conflict or instability
- Families helping relatives reroute from abroad
- Anyone who needs to reduce noise and focus on more relevant route options
Before You Book
Flight availability can change quickly during disruptions. A route that appears one minute may disappear or be changed the next.
Before booking, it is smart to:
- Check the airline directly
- Confirm transit and entry requirements
- Review official government travel advisories
- Allow extra time for changes and delays
Start Your Search
If you need to find a possible route home, start with your origin, destination, and travel date. Then remove the regions you want to avoid and review the next available options.
